What To Do?

So a long time ago, in my blog reading, I found this great idea.  The girls over at eighteen25 are such an inspiration!  Anyway, I saw this post showing how to make a great Summer To Do List.

I loved the idea of framing the list and then writing on the glass with a marker.  But I didn't just want a Summer To Do List.  I wanted a daily or weekly to do list.  And I didn't want it that big.  So I put my digi scrappying skills to work and this is what I came up with this.

I had it printed at Walmart as an 8x10 photo and then framed it.  I use dry erase markers to write my weekly to do list.  At the end of each week I just use wet paper towel to erase the marker and start again.

My mom saw mine and wanted one too, so I made hers to match her love of lighthouses, which is reflected in her kitchen.  She thought they would make great birthday presents for her sisters, so I made them too!  Notice how Loyia's is a Fun List?  She requested this so it didn't seem like work!  Love it!

Then, for a fundraiser, my husband and I decided it would be easier to make money by "selling" goods and/or services to our friends and family (which totally works by the way!) From that fundraiser, I made two more for a couple friends, who are actually sisters!

Next, I made one for my sister for her birthday.  She wanted something bright and "citrusy" and that is exactly what she got!

I love how individual each To Do list turned out!  Very much like each wonderful woman they were made for!

Now that I have made so many, I think I need to redo my original one.  I would add Sunday to it and maybe make it a bit brighter.  I also think I'd prefer a black base, rather than a brown one, so it will match my beautiful new kitchen!

I love my List, but if you are going to make one yourself, I must leave you with a warning.  You may find extra things added to you list!  I frequently find "make cookies for Nathan" fit in between my daily tasks! lol

How do you keep yourself organized?  Do you have or need a To Do list to make sure you get everything done?

  1. Those are all fabulous, JaCobi. I love your digital scrapbooking and it's genius to frame them and then write on the glass. I am going to come over and add "Make Cookies for Skye" to your list.
